Safe Kids West Michigan Home Safety Project
As kids of all ages have been spending more time at home, the need for home safety devices has risen. At the same time, needs are on the rise and budget cuts have impacted the availability for funding to ensure families have the supplies they need to keep kids safe at home. Caseworkers are finding many homes lack proper safety devices for families.
TDMF has sponsored this new program along with Mercy Health and the Department of Health and Human Services. We are happy to say that we have supplied enough product for a year to help Muskegon County families. The list includes: medication lock boxes, door alarms, window alarms, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, fitted crib sheets, baby gates, outlet protectors, cribs/pack n plays, bath thermometers, edge protectors, sleep sacks and more!
This project has just launched and last month we are proud to say that 15 Muskegon County families we helped with over 30 products installed in their homes!
